EXPOSED: WHY NASA AGREEMENT IS SO NEAR YET SO FAR.

Barely a week after the much publicized signing of the NASA deal strong differences continue between the NASA co-principals on the mode to be used to pick the flag bearer. Our sources reveal that while RailaOdinga insist on a delegates system Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula are insisting on a boardroom agreement.

A meeting on Wednesday that went into the late hours failed to find a solution to the stalemate as all the parties stood their ground.

Another issue that is raising a storm is the fact that wiper has rejected a plan by ODM to allow Governors Kidero and Joho to be automatic NASA candidates in Nairobi and Mombasa. Wiper is demanding that it must be allowed to field a NASA gubernatorial candidate in Mombasa where they have a strong option in Senator Hassan Omar. Ford Kenya also wants to field a candidate in Nairobi to face Jubilee.

However Raila is adamant that Kidero and Joho must be given automatic NASA tickets for their counties. Raila claims that ODM already has the strongest candidates for those seats under NASA and that if each NASA party ends up with candidates in Nairobi and Mombasa the coalition will be cannibalizing itself which will make it easy for Jubilee to take this crucial counties. But sources indicate that Raila’s greatest fear is actually financial. He is afraid that if Kidero and Joho have to fight for the NASA ticket with other opposition candidates then they will not be as willing as they have been, to fund his 2017 presidential campaign.

Meanwhile ANC is demanding to be given Bungoma and Kakamega counties to run its own candidates unchallenged by the other NASA parties!
